Chile; Navy plans to replace aging Type-209 submarines

The commander-in-chief of the Chilean Navy, Admiral Juan Andrés De la Maza, indicated that the institution is submitting the necessary documents to the Ministry of National Defense to be able to replace the two 209/1400L class submarines that in 2024 completed 40 years of service.
